Shocking new video from a security camera vividly shows not one, but two missiles hit the stricken airplane at 30 seconds apart. The new revelation answered the of question why the plane’s transponder stopped working before, which was now clear was the second missile that hit the Ukraine International Airline Flight 752 on January 8.
From the video, the plane seems to be still flying after the first hit. Immediately after the second hit, the plane can be seen engulfed in flame, which subsequently crashed. The plane seems to be trying to circling back towards Tehran’s International Airport. Neither strike downed the plane immediately.
According to The New York Times, the video was taken from a camera on the roof of a building near the village of Bidkaneh, four miles from an Iranian military base. The video was uploaded o Youtube by an Iranian user around 2 am on Tuesday.
Earlier on, Iran denied downing the plane. Iranians have taken to the streets in protest after the government finally admitted on last Friday that they mistook the jetliner for an enemy target and ‘unintentionally’ fired at the plane on Tuesday night. There were 167 passengers and nine crew members from several countries perished in the unfortunate incident, 82 Iranians, at least 63 Canadians and 11 Ukrainians, according to officials.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, however, quickly blame Trump for the regrettable tragedy, said ‘US adventurism’ was to blame for the strike a week after an American drone killed Iranian General Qassem Soleimani in Iraq. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau immediately Twitted and called for a full investigation into the matter ‘to be convinced beyond all doubt’. He said: ‘We recognize that this may have been done accidentally. The evidence suggests very clearly a possible and probable cause for the crash.’
