SpaceX’s next generation rocket ‘Starhopper’ successfully took off and hover for a second time. It slowly climbed to its planned altitude of 500 feet and hovered in the air for at least a minute before gently settling down back to earth.

The Starhopper is powered by one main engine, the Raptor engine which capable of producing up to 200 tons or an equivalent of 450’000ibf of thrust. The purpose of this inaugural flight is to evaluate both the design and hardware that one day will be incorporate into a monster spaceship that will be sending people to deep space destinations like the Moon or Mars.
